Since the release of Animal Crossing Pocket Camp in the U.S., I have been anxiously awaiting the Reader’s Crossing challenge, created by Aentee @ Read at Midnight!
If you’re familiar with #TheReadingQuest (one that I unfortunately heard of too late!), also created by Aentee, this challenge is set up in much the same way.
The challenge is centered around this bingo board ^ that allows you to follow one (or more) paths that are inspired by Animal Crossing characters. You can gain experience points with each square completed, extra points for #OwnVoices novels, points for related twitter and instagram posts, and with every 10 EXP points, your character will level up. The challenge is set to run from Sunday, December 10th to Sunday, December 31st, but you can sign up any time once the challenge has begun. For more information, check out Aentee’s sign-up post!
Considering the books that are on my TBR at the moment, I decided to follow the Sporty path. Here are my plans:
Set in the wilderness:
American Wolf: A True Story of Survival and Obsession in the West by Nate Blakeslee
Written by a team (2+) of authors:
The Wife Between Us by Greer Hendricks and Sarah Pekkanen
Main adventure plot:
Six of Crows by Leigh Bardugo
Superhero:
Vicious by V.E. Schwab
Graphic novel or manga:
Death Note, Vol. 1: Boredom by Tsugumi Ohba, Takeshi Obata (Illustrator)
I don’t entirely expect to be able to get through 5+ books in two weeks, especially with Christmas in the mix, but I’m going to try!
Have you read any of the books on my TBR? What did you think of them? If you’re participating too, let me know in the comments so I can check out your TBR!

I might have already mentioned how awesome Six of Crows is, but I now have to YELL HOW AWESOME DEATH NOTE IS. That manga/anime series was a huge part of my high school years and completely blew my mind/had me hooked all the way. I hope you enjoy it, Elizabeth! Awesome challenge to participate in; I remember the ReadingQuest one and thought it was cool too. Happy reading! 🙂
Oh yay!! I’m glad you loved Death Note and I’m sure I will too!
